T-SEC’s Equipment Program
T-SEC is a 501©(3) non-profit focused on economic development and the creation of good-paying jobs in the mid-Hudson Region of NYS. It is funded primarily by NYS ESD and NYS DOL (www.tsecny.org/financials)
T-SEC accesses capital through grants from NYS ESD and uses the funds to purchase hi-tech manufacturing equipment, installing it at participating manufacturers and community colleges.
We do so to enable manufacturers, particularly advanced manufacturing and engineering firms, as well as fashion design and medical and assistive design manufacturers, to have access to state-of-the-art equipment.
This equipment allows them to prototype and test new products, or to improve the performance of existing products, enabling them to grow their businesses.
Community college partners use the equipment for hands-on training to prepare graduates to meet the employment needs of regional manufacturers.
In exchange for hosting a piece of high-tech equipment, participating manufacturers and community colleges agree to allow others (manufacturers, faculty, makers, designers, etc.) to use the equipment for their own business purposes under the terms of T-SEC’s Equipment License Agreements. These agreements limit user costs to nominal operating costs, including replacement of consumables, utility costs, etc.
Our equipment is available to entrepreneurs and startups as well.
In particular, the equipment may be used for product:
• Backfilling during equipment repair/maintenance
We encourage all New York State businesses with an interest to explore our equipment.
Please note: this equipment is only available to New York State residents or businesses that manufacture within New York State.
Manufacturers, makers, designers etc., who make use of T-SEC funded and provided equipment acknowledge their use of it as follows: “This work made use of T-SEC Equipment supported by NYS ESD and NYS DOL”
